PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Pointer has perhaps Sweden’s most extensive experience in BI projects. Whether we are working according to a traditional or an agile project model, we are bringing our customers frequent, high quality deliveries and a clear view of the project’s progress from beginning to end. We pick the lowest hanging fruit first in order to deliver value early in the process.

Nowadays, so called agile project methodologies are popular. Agile methodology means, in short, that the project is managed according to a flexible task list that is broken down into shorter time frames, so called sprints, which typically last for 4-6 weeks. The outcome of every sprint should be a potentially shippable product increment, so that the customer can follow the project and make sure that the required functionalities are implemented. Focus is more on the priorities than the specification and more on finishing small parts than bringing all parts of the project forward - in order to avoid that nothing is finished on time and that you discover too late that you have been working in the wrong direction. An example of an agile project is Pointer’s combined data warehouse and QlikView implementation at Niscayah. Read about it here.
