QLIKVIEW

Pointer is a partner of QlikTech since 2009. QlicTech develops and sells the BI software suite QlikView, which has seen major success over the past years. Pointer is a QlikView reseller, so our customers get access to a one-stop-shop for software and consultancy services. QlikView is a very popular, flexible and intuitive tool that has become a solid part of the BI market. Today, QlikView addresses the Enterprise segment to increasing extent, which has led to increased demand for the combination of QlikView and a data warehouse (or information warehouse as we’d rather call it, when the data warehouse contains high quality data and correct dimension definitions). A combination of QlikView and a data warehouse ensures that the solution is future-proof, can handle certain types of historical information and to simplify and rationalise coding and the maintenance of code (common code in the data warehouse, instead of in each QlikView application). Performance is also improved when certain calculations can be made in the data warehouse instead of, e.g., in QlikView graphs.

Pointer has realised a number of projects where we have combined QlikView with a data warehouse.
